this is the quote that has stayed with me for more than 20 years. I invite you to ponder on it to. “What do we live for if not to make the world less difficult for each other?”

—George Eliot.

I grew up in a small seaside village in the island’s southeast of India, in a loud loving, and liberal thinking family. In my family girls were encouraged to study and stand on their own 2 feet (be financially independent). There was a great emphasis on health and we would often listen to quotes like “health is wealth” and “you need health and education and everything else will follow”. We knew health was about taking care of yourself every day and health was about the health of the body and health of the mind. Growing up, if you get sick, you get free advice, free food, and free care from almost the whole village, you liked it, or wanted it or deserved it was not taken into account, and as a member of a larger family it was just understood that you needed care and it was freely given, we all understood that this give and take was our right and our responsibility.

Today I live on the northern beaches of Sydney Australia, with my husband and 3 children, and I love to repeat those quotes of my childhood to them. Still fortunately for me, I have a strong family, and friends circle around me. But it is not the same, we all do our best but sometimes it’s not enough, what families and friends used to do, is now done by small business, healthy food, shopping, home help, etc.

My story

There comes a time in everyone's life when enough is enough. Sleep deprivation was killing me. Then I would go to work and see other people struggle with sleep deprivation. As a registered nurse all I could do was dish out sleeping pills that the doctor had ordered. For many patients most of the time the sleeping pill did not work. One night shift, one patient's, desperation to get more sleep snapped something within me.  Hence began a quest for a way to get healthy consistent good night's sleep. As my sleep improved, so did my health, my mood, and my relationships.

Then I started to teach my patient how to sleep and saw them drift into slumber. Armed with this experience I am here to teach you. Learn how to sleep better,  before you lose your health, your relationship, and your income.

Please take the quiz and also learn how to improve the quality of your life by improving the quality of your sleep.

Kind Regards

My work

I am a registered nurse with almost 2 decades of experience in nursing behind me, now I both practice bedside nursing and teach nursing. I am a trained counselor, and I use this learning as a part of my patient care. I am also a professional Touch Therapist; I specialize in Oncology Massage, Touch Therapy for children, Lymphatic Therapist and now my course Touch Therapy For Health Care Workers will start running this year.

Growing up massage was a huge part of my family’s health and wellbeing. One night shift I was struggling, as there was a stretch of the ward that was very sticky, I would clean it and it will go sticky again. As the night passed my frustration grew because the sticky surface was making my shoes squeak and stick to the floor. During one of my rounds on the narrow corridor I was stuck behind a female patient making her way to the communal toilet, she had had a bilateral knee replacement and her walking was very slow, at one point the light of a room she passed fell on her legs and changed the trajectory of my personal and professional life. You see she had what we call as postoperative edema, where the area that is operated swells up. This lady’s lower legs were so swollen that the lymphatic fluids were dribbling out of her skin. And this was a fluid that made that stretch of ward very sticky.

My Entrepreneurial Journey

Since there was no particular nursing education for it, I forged my path that led me to become a Lymphatic drainage therapist and then slowly I realized the role of therapeutic touch in health care, or rather what's the significant role it can play if given a chance. Since there is not much scope for it in the mainstream hospital here in Australia. I now have my practice.

What I also realized was there are many things that the general population does not know as no one has particularly emphasized it. Take health for example, people do not know that health is of body and mind, it is an optimal state of being. So journey along with me, listen to the podcast and I explore from powerful ways to recover from surgery to the best way to look after your mind, to age healthy. And many more areas of health.

And we design the courses to help and empower you. Your health is my goal.
